Dr. Sridhar Yaratha is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and has extensive experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment for over 23 years.  He has worked in various aspects of psychiatric care including adult and geriatric psychiatry.  He worked at Central State Hospital for almost ten years working with Forensic patients and treating chronic mentally ill patients with co-occurring substance abuse disorders.  He also had the privilege of helping Veterans at Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in both inpatient and outpatient care. He had been working with Gateway Homes and individuals with chronic mental illnesses since 2007. In 2015 he opened a private office to work with individuals who require outpatient treatment of substance abuse and mental illness.  This was to better serve the mental health and substance abuse treatment needs in Richmond, Virginia.  He is currently an active member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association.
